We have not been able to find any information on customs and duties payable
upon arrival in the country, apart from those that apply to people on holiday
(alcohol, cigarette limits etc).
We are having our household goods sent out via sea freight, my question
is whether any of this will have duties etc payable upon arrival. For example,
If we have a case of wine in the container, will we have to pay a duty
on this?
If we have a TV, vcr, microwave etc, will we have to pay duty on these
goods?
Any light you could shed on this would be greatly appreciated. Also a list of things we are not permitted to bring into the country would be great, ie what foodstuffs are prohibited.
Thank you
It is difficult to answer this question, so I went to ask Ministry of Finace in Cook Islands.
